Parma Violets a classic perfumed retro sweet which are a large version of the Mini Parma Violets which are more memorable. Delicately perfumed violet sweets which are chalky in texture and incredibly more-ish! This is one of our perfumed sweets, others include Floral Gums, Cherry Lips and Scented Satins.
Always a it of a marmite-type sweet - you'll either love them or hate them! In fact in 2003 because of this love/hate relationship, the manufacturers considered changing the recipe but after a public outcry they decided to stick with the original!
Myth or fact we're not sure but there are tales told of people using Parma Violets to take away the smell of beer on your breath! Try it for yourself and let us know if it works. Obviously in our Yorkshire Dales market town of Masham, the home of Black Sheep Brewery and Theakston Brewery, the smell of beer is something of the norm!
